Accessing Remote Reboot
From Ubiquity Server Wiki
Remote reboot is available to all Ubiquity dedicated server and single server colocation clients and should be used when a server has locked up and does not respond to restart requests through RDP or SSH. Exception is made for half and full cabinet colocation clients who commonly supply their own PDU's and manage such services via their supplied Telnet or SNMP interfaces directly. Accessing remote reboot is very simple.
- Login to https://my.ubiquityhosting.com
- Click on the View Devices link in the left column
- Choose which server you would like to remotely restart (temporarily disrupting power flow to a locked-up server)
- Click on the Reboot Server link in the bottom right corner of the page.
If a server does not come back after given reasonable time to boot back up, it's recommended to request one of our support techs investigate the server at it's terminal (this service is available 24/7). Once the server is back online, you should review the server's log files that may indicate the cause of the crash and what could prevent this from happening in the future.
